An East Rutherford office next to the Meadowlands can look like a normal badge count at 8:15 a.m. and still have no milk. The extras were last night. A client event, a watch party, or a crew that used the pantry after a concert. PATH delay crushes are a different North Jersey story. This one is the night that nobody scheduled with us.

Put event nights on the coffee calendar

If the EA knows the floor will be open late, the coffee owner should either lock the station or plan a morning buffer. An unlocked machine with no owner is how cups pile in the sink and oat milk sits out.

Our weekly visit cannot undo an overnight party. Name the person who checks the pantry before the first meeting. Photograph remaining milk. Call us if the buffer is gone.

Do not treat stadium traffic as extra employees

Concert guests are not a headcount increase you can average into the month. They are a one-night spike. Cup billing will show the pours. Restock should treat the next morning as a recovery day, not as proof that you need a larger machine forever.

Sanitation is the real failure

Grounds in the sink, a full drip tray, and a sticky counter are what the 8 a.m. staff sees. Assign overnight cleanup to the event host, not to “whoever gets in first.” We will sanitize on our cadence. We will not be the night porter.

What we need on the call

Whether the floor sits next to the stadium, typical event-night use, and who has keys after 7 p.m. Mention Secaucus versus Jersey City if the account spans both.
